Superstition is not just about religion and things like that
there are many superstition, we live in superstitious world since the time we get to 5-6 we are fed superstition.
Like our belief is true and others is false, big superstition, we cant see others brain.
similarly, like I cant get better
like the way we identify ourselves with our feelings trust it, is big superstition.
See the war, both sides are always convinced about evilness of other side.
trusting ones own feeling is biggest superstition.
We trust so much that something we are doing is the right way, later on we discover that no it was illusion, thousands of cases in every life. What is true then? Am I true now or was then? But if i feel i am true now, stil in future it may be dis-constructed. May be we die in darkness.

feelings and intuition comes from reptilian brain. we have a reptile inside and a human.
Human calculates complex integrals and reptilian brain says no, its very difficult u cant solve it.
so far targetting religious supersition has been very easy and hobby of many. But other forms of superstition need much more research.
But rationality , understanding how our thoughts, feelings work, etc, and how to think rationally is the most important thing that should be taught in high school. Sadly It is not being taught. Mark my words, towards end of the century many intelligent schools will adopt it. Many countries.
We cannot run away from our brain, it goes with us wherever we go. With it goes the reptile inside, who has enslaved our human brain through power of feelings, fear of death and ecstasy of life, happiness, addiction. It cant distinguish things except that weather it is fearful or enjoyment. Once our human brain starts identifying it as fear, reptile says we are fucked run away, stop all rationality. So instead of tackling fear, or checking weather it is true or false we run away. Thats how people in Indian villages believe in ghost till death. Thats how we believe in necessity for revenge, jealousy etc.
We can show the reptile, its true place. By choosing to ignore it. We have control over it. In the time just as baby stops crying if crying doesnot fetch it prize, in same way reptile inside us stops. But weather reptile stops or not, we need to say that reptile cant decide right or wrong, let us not give our pet the power to decide, take control.

That day man conquered the world. Before that fire was death, that day fire became friend. Such is power of perception.
Take care to focus on reward which taking control of reptile brings. Reason being then reptile voluntarily becomes slave of reason brain. Its like asking dog that life in my house enclosure is better than life in forest. Once he is in, its done and both are happy now, else dog will be barking in the wild whenever u meet him.
